What's up Thursday

Good Monday Morning everyone !!
Let me start by saying I am so sorry I didn't post last week and  the times
I have posted they have been really short.

This is my busy time at work and I get home stressed, tired and hungry every night.
Heck, my husband has been cooking for us just about every night.
This time comes every year and I know I will make it but at this point I don't see
the light at the end of the tunnel.
Calgon can't even fix this !!! LoL

This mood is really hard on my Creative Mojo.
But, now that the first of many shutdowns are over I have a little breathing room.
I know this quiet time will not last long so please bear with me while I work hard, create and
share when I can.

This layout is for an album I am working on for my Mother-in-law.
Mardi Gras floats are made for all Mobile, AL organizations here locally
and they get to see the process happening.

Last week I was playing around with water colors and make these cute flowers.
Then I covered them with Glossy Accents.
If you have never used this stuff you really should get your hands on some.
You can use it as glue but also to make things shine.

Thanks for stopping by and I have no idea when I will post again but, I will
when time allows.
Don't forget to take time to be Creative.

PSC79 Spring + Thank You

This week I am sharing a card I love from a past post..

I can't wait to show you my card this week. Thanks to my good friend Susan
I tried a new stamping technique and it turned out awesome....
Check it out !!
She showed me how to use three different ink colors on a stamp and
this awesome stamp comes to life. I started by choosing the colors of ink
I wanted to use. Start with the darker colors and then your
inks won't bleed. Move your stamp around coloring
each part with a different color. Then you lightly mist the stamp with ink
and stamp. The color will blend but not bleed.
Now this wasn't my first attempt it takes some practice to get the look you want.
The stamp I used was a Tim Holz and it was just one flower I just stamp my
card multiple times.
Then I blended some ink around the edges to give that cloudy effect.
Popped a sentiment and POW !!
Love it !!

Thanks for stopping by and drop by and join our challenge and
see what Susan has to share today.

What's up Wednesday

Well, last week I shared with you my desk at work.
It was a HOT mess.
Today I usually show what project I have been working on
Well, I am still knee deep in work so I have nothing on my craft table.
But, the last project I completed was a small mini album
for my nephew who was getting married.

This is how my desk has looked since !!
I took this picture Sunday.

Yay !! I couldn't create in this space if I wanted to.

So, last night I came home from work... late as usual.
But, since I had a little time I cleaned that table up.
Now, this is how I like it !!

I also took pictures of the rest of the room and it is too embarrassing to show you now.
After I get it all cleaned up I will show you the before and after !!
Ta Ta for now !1

Make Something Monday # 14

Hi Everyone and welcome to Monday again.
Last week over at Where Life Meets Art we asked you to
Show us your sparkle.
Well, eleven great entries were posted but we had to choose just one
to showcase this week.
After looking at each one we decided on.

Lorraine

Lorraine used a stamp she had in her stash and added glitter, embossing powder
and stickles !!
Great job, thanks for sharing with us Lorraine !!

Now for this week.
We want you to show us your

SHINE !!!

That means you can use brads, enamel dots, glossy accents or anything that shines.
For my project I used enamel dots (which are my favorite) and
shiny twine.

The stars I just found in my stash and rick-rack well don't everybody have that stuff.

Flashback Friday!

Just a quick flashback photo of Sam!

Can you guess which one is Sam? This is at Sam's older sister's wedding at Bellingrath Gardens in 1978. I didn't guess correctly when I first saw the photo! Two of the girls are sisters. One is a friend.

Do you know who is who? Sam is on the far right, her sister is on the left, and their friend Beth is in the middle. Did you guess correctly?

Don't forget to enter your sparkle embellished projects into this week's Make Something Monday Challenge! If you haven't gotten your glitter out yet, there's still time to make something and link up by Sunday night!

Make Something Monday # 13

Well, it is Monday again and that always means the end to the weekend.
But, it also means we have another challenge over at

Where Art Meets Life

Last week we asked you to use a doily and we had some great entries.
Thanks to everyone that played along and but the one entry that
really stood out was from

Dian

Her graduation card was awesome.
Those flowers and how she used a doily was perfect.
Thanks Dian for sharing with us.
Stop by her blog and check out all her great creations.

This week we want you to SPARKLE !!
Yea, show us your bling !!
Sequins, Rhinestones and Glitter

For my creation I got out the glitter and my stamps.

I stamped my image with Black Staz-on ink and then got out
all my pretty glitter bottles.

I used glossy accents and filled in the flowers and sprinkled glitter on them.
I wanted it to look like a drawing so I didn't worry about full coverage.
I used copic markers on the leaves and stems.
Last , but not least I added some bling and stamped me a sentiment and
tied some ribbon.
Cute, quick little card !!

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to enter our challenge over at

MY DESK !!

No, I am not usually a messy desk kind of person but I have that many things

Make Something Monday # 12

Good Morning !!
I sure hope you had a wonderful weekend and are ready to face the work week.
We had an awesome fly-in for my husbands remote control airplanes.
We had great weather and turnout.
Last week at Where Life Meets Art we asked you to
Use a Mask or Stencil and we had seven (7) beautiful entries.
We want to thank everyone and feature this card from

Piali Baswas

Great use of a mask. Your color combo really pops on this card.
Thank you for sharing your card with us.

Now for this week we want you to....
Use a Doily !!

You can use a doily that you bought, cut from a machine or just stamped.
We just want to see one on your project.

For my project I used a store bought doily on my layout.
This wasn't what I was going to share this week, but sometimes
project just do not deserve to be featured and if you
saw the card I made last night you would understand.
So, I had this layout in an album I am working on and I decided to share it instead.

This doily has been in my stash for awhile and it brought the layout
together really well. With the pop of white your eyes are carried
around the page.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to hop on over to Susan's blog

and join our challenge this week.

This week we want you to use a Stencil or Mask.

For my project I made a scrapbook page with Mr Huey's mask.
This is one of my favorite mask I have and I really use it a lot.

I laid my stencil down and used my dapper to paint on my page.
Then I added some silver glitter before it dried.

Then I used my black pen to draw some doodle lines

I only used a small portion of my stencil but it has a lot of possibilities.
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to hop on over and link your project

Make it Monday # 10

Monday again !!
I sure hope everyone had a great weekend.
We didn't have any entries into our sketch challenge last week
but we are not giving up yet.
This week we want you to create something with these two colors

Green and Gold

So, for my project I had to whip together a quick card.
I have worked all weekend so this one is going to be simple.

The Gold, star embossed paper is from The Paper Studio.
I picked this pack of paper up at Hobby Lobby and when I got it home
I really liked the diffent kinds of embossed paper.

I added the ribbon and took green string and tied it in the middle
and placed a button.
The swirls were cut with a Sizzix die on my Big Shot.
Stamped my sentiment with black ink.
Not anything big this week but hey, I lost a hour of sleep with
the time change and boy do I miss it !! LOL

Thanks for stopping by and please go over to
Where life meets Art and join the challenge
I'm sure Susan has something to share today too.

What's on my Craft Table Wednesday ???

This week I have been working on a few little brag books for
the lady at work to put her new grand baby's pictures in.
These little books are so easy and the inside pages are made from
one 12 x 12 sheet of paper.

These little books are 4 x 4 inches.
The covers are cut out of chipboard and they are cut at 4 1/4" each.
Here are a few more pictures.

Make Something Monday # 9

Good Morning !!
Last week we were so excited to have 11 entries.
They were all so awesome but we could only pick one to win.

That winner is Marilyn

You did an awesome job !!
Your coloring on the little mice are just too cute !!
Make sure you stop by and claim your prize with Susan
over at Where Life Meets Art.

Now for this week we want you to use a sketch. This sketch
came from Shawn over at Nuts About Sketches
Make sure you stop by her blog and check out all her sketches.

My layout with this sketch started with a picture of me and my daughter Lauren.
We were kidding around, as usual, at the restaurant and someone snapped our picture.

The background paper was distressed and mounted on white card stock.
Crate Paper is one of my favorite paper line so all the paper is from that line.

The burlap and ribbon was perfect for this layout.
Oh, and I actually got my sewing machine our and stitched a few things down.
Every time I get it out I love the results don't know
why I don't get it our more.

The purple is just acrylic paint that I dipped my paintbrush in.
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to stop
over at Susan's blog to join in the fun challenge.

My daughter came over and spent the weekend with us and
she wanted to go downtown for a parade.

Have a wonderful weekend !!

What's up Wednesday ????

Well, I finished the baby album I have been working on.
I was so excited to finish that I didn't take not one photo of it.
But, believe me it turned out really cute and the lady at
work can't wait to give it to her daughter-in-law.
Boy, I hope she likes it.

So, with that finished I have put the Mardi Gras album back on my table.
This page is of the day they crowned the Queen.

With this album it is all about getting a lot of photos on the pages for the
memories so embellishment are at the minimal.
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to stop by and
see what Susan has to share today.
Don't forget to find time to create and to join our challenge this week
Susan will be giving away a stamp from Unity Stamp Company.
