PSC98: Fall or Halloween

Hi Everyone,
The Perfect Sentiment is having another challenge this week.
We want you to create a card with a
Fall or Halloween theme.
Don't forget to put your sentiment on the front of the card.

This week our sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps

Our sponsor will supply the random winner with 3 free images.
Even if you don't win please stop by their page and help
support our sponsors.

For my creation this week I wanted to do something
different so I decided to make a Fall
invitation to a block party.

I used Tim Holtz inks to color my card around my Bugaboo stamp.
Then to sprinkled it with water for some added details.
Tim Holtz inks are so fun to work with.
They dry fast and when you use water with then
you get a different effect.
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out the other Design Team
members blog. All addresses are listed in my sidebar.

PSC97: Poinsettia Christmas

I know we haven't even gotten post Halloween but over at The Perfect Sentiment we
are getting you in the Christmas Spirit.
This weeks challenge is to create a card using a Poinsettia.
We also have a new sponsor this week that will be giving away three free
digital sets to the random winner.
To be eligible for the drawing you have to like our sponsors Face book page.

That sponsor is Daydream Designs by Diane Noble

Now let me show you my card for this week.
Our wonderful sponsor supplied our Design Team with designs that fit our theme this week.

After I printed my digital Poinsettia I decided to fussy cut it out to put on my card.
I colored it with my Copic markers and then cut several of the petal and leaves so that
I could pop them up and give it some dimension.

To add some spark I got out my stickles. After that dried I stamped my sentiment
on a tag and tied a ribbon. Oh yea popped it too !! Love me some pop dots.
Topped it all off with some sequins in the middle of the flower.

PSC93: Holiday Snowflakes

Well it ain't Winter or Christmas yet but the weather is changing
and I can't say I will miss the Summer.
Alabama really gets a PUNCH with the heat and humidity.
So good riddance... see ya later.
Over at The Perfect Sentiment we are starting thinking about the cold weather.

This Week...
CREATE A CARD FOR THE UPCOMING HOLIDAY SEASON AND INCORPORATE SNOWFLAKES ON IT IN SOME WAY. IT CAN BE IN THE IMAGE YOU USE, DIE-CUTS, EMBOSSING FOLDERS, ETC. DON'T FORGET TO INCLUDE YOUR SENTIMENT ON THE FRONT

No sponsor this week but we will still pick "Perfect 3"
So head on over and join the fun.

But, before you leave let me show you my card.
I started with stamping and embossing a background stamp. Then
I punched these snowflakes and oh yea embossed them.
I mixed glitter with my embossing power to give it a lot of sparkle.
This is the stamp I used and the snowflake punch.

I am sure there are those product people that can look at this stamp and tell you
who made it but I can't ... sorry !! LOL

PSC92: " Find Me Some Fall" challenge at The Perfect Sentiment

Hi Everyone, today is Wednesday and that means another great challenge
over at The Perfect Sentiment.

I live in South Alabama and that means that we do not get to see
trees turning beautiful colors that you guys get to see in the North.
So, with that being said we want you to create a card with any sentiment
but show us your Fall colors or your Fall images.
Don't forget to put the sentiment on the front of your card.

This week our sponsor is PATTIE'S CREATION

The random winner will receive 3 free digital images.

This week I am so pumped about my card. I was scrapping this weekend at our
LSS convention and decided to make my card. I had an idea but I wasn't sure how it was
going to turn out.
I thought I was going to have to stamp and cut out all these leaves but the wonderful
lady that was sitting beside me had two punches that worked perfect.
She got them at Micheal's.
I started inking my card with Tim Holtz - Brown Saddle. Then I stamped the image
of the three little frogs. They were holding balloons but it was easy to cover them with my leaves.
I colored them with my Copic markers and then I started punching and adding the leaves.

So without further delay... Here is the card.

I so love how it turned out !! So glad you stopped by and I hope I have
inspired you to make a card and join us over at the
Challenge Blog.
Don't forget to check out all the other Design Team members blogs.
I have listed all of them in my sidebar.

fellow with my Copic Markers but I think he turned out really cute.
I hope you like  !!
I am challenging myself to try new things outside of my comfort zone , so this week
I tried "Doodling" Yep, can't go wrong on this technique so who don't you give it a try.

PSC90: Ribbon, Seam Binding or Baker's twine

Well Hello Everyone !!
I bet by now everyone is back into the routine of getting up and getting the kiddos off
to school. I know this might sound crazy but I miss not having that structure in my life.
My kids are grown but boy when they were at home and in school I was
the best organizer...LOL
Now all I have to organize is my scrapbooking supplies...hehehe
Anyway enough of that. Let's talk about our challenge over at
The Perfect Sentiment.

This week-
CREATE A CARD FOR THE OCCASION OF YOUR CHOICE AND USE RIBBON, TWINE, OR SEAM BINDING OR ALL 3. INCLUDE YOUR SENTIMENT ON THE FRONT.

Our sponsor is ROBYN'S FETISH

The winner will receive 5 free digis !!

Now to show you my creation for this week.

I decided to use some seam binding that I had recently gotten from my husband's
great grandmother's house. She had passed away years ago and I got a call from her
daughter asking me if I would be interested in any sewing stuff. Well, I never learned to
sew very well but I knew she would have some ribbon, zipper and seam binding. This purple is
one of many colors I got. Every time I use it I think of her and I'm so glad because I'm very
sentimental. The image was stamped with Versamack ink and embossed with black embossing powder. I wanted to color the flowers so I stuck my
thumb into some ink and pressed it to the card. The background ratan ribbon is actually something
I kept from a tie on a fruit basket we got at work.
The cute sentiment was from my stash.
I'm so glad you stopped by and I hope you take time to create and join our challenge this week.

Our sponsor is The Paper Shelter

The winner will receive a $20.00 gift certificate

My card this week started when I decided to arrange my clear stamps
and came across this cute apple stamp. Since I don't have kids in school I really
had no idea I had this. Well since I found it I knew I would make my stamp
the center of this card. The rest just fell in to place.

For my card I knew the best color for Christmas was "BLUE"

PSC86: Your Favorite Technique

Hi Everybody, We are back from our summer break at The Perfect Sentiment.
This week we are creating a card with our favorite technique.
A TECHNIQUE CAN BE ANYTHING FROM HEAT EMBOSSING, DRY EMBOSSING, FUSSY CUTTING, SEWING, PAPER PIERCING, EMBOSS RESIST . DON'T FORGET YOUR SENTIMENT ON THE FRONT.

This week our sponsor is Robin's Fetish

The winner will receive their choice of 5 free digis

My card this week is with one of our sponsors image.
My favorite technique is to fussy cut.

Fussing cutting is when you take your image, print it twice and hand cut out a few of the details
so that you can layer them on top of your original image.
Use some pop dots to pop it up and now you some some dimension to your card or layout.
I love to fussy cut !! Try it on your next card you will be hooked.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to go over to our challenge blog and
 add your favorite technique card.
Hope to see ya there !!!

Off the card and on the Scrapbook pages !!

Hi Everybody, we have been on a summer vacation over at the Perfect Sentiment
so I have been taking the time to do some scrapbooking.
I sure have missed it. Making cards is satisfying but I love a 12 x 12 piece of paper.
My first layout is a picture of my daughter Lauren posing
with her favorite cardboard actor !!

I have really been working on my layering and I think I still have a long ways to go but
this layout really turned out cute. Also on this layout is my first time
to use My Huey's mask... yep still working on that technique too.
The next layout is our new fence we just had installed on our property.
I was so excited I could not wait to do a layout with these pictures.

This paper is from the We R Memory Keepers Country Livin' collection.
Country life is how we live and this paper was perfect to use. Something new I did was I used
Picasa to print these pictures like a Polaroid camera would print them.

Thanks for stopping by today and letting me share my latest creations.
Make sure you check back for the new Design Team revealed over at The Perfect Sentiment.
Also we will be sharing cards starting next week.

PSC84: Sun and Sand

Well it is officially summer in the South. Since we actually only get
two seasons I don't why I am surprised that it is already 90 degree with the humidity
making you think it is 100. Well that is how it is and I love it down here so we
deal with it every year.
Now to start with some summer cards over at The Perfect Sentiment.
This week we want you to create a card with a sentiment of your choice.
For the twist you need to use any kind of Summer embellishments, paper or stamp.
Just make it Summer.
This week the random drawn winner will receive a

$5.00 gift card from Amazon.

For my card I pulled out some old paper that has just been waiting on me to use.
I cut the paper down so the Summer sky is centered on my card.
Added a cute little chair and a sentiment ans some twine.
Bam !! Done !!
I love Summer !!

Hi everyone and welcome back again. I didn't post last week because...
well LIFE just got in the way. I'm sure you have all gotten there before and understand
where I'm coming from. We don't have children at home anymore
but that don't mean we don't have ISSUES with our farm.
In fact when they were home they really helped out and now I appreciate that help
they gave me and my husband. They thought we only had them for slave labor...LOL
but they will understand as soon has children are in their family.
Well, enough about me...
This week our challenge over at The Perfect Sentiment is about
the special man in our lives...
Create a Father's Day or that special man in your life card.
Make sure the sentiment is on the front of your card.

This week our sponsor is Robyn's Fetish
5 Free digis for the random winner

This week I had this great kit from my LSS and I just had to use it.
We Are Memory Makers0 Antique Chic
I used several of the papers and boy did it turn our cute.
The hat I added for my Father-in-law who is an Alabama football hat. I hope you love it. Now don't forget to check out all the other DT members blogs.
